The One

“When God made The Man, he made them out of stuff that sung all the time and glittered all over. Some angels got jealous and chopped him into millions of pieces, but still, he glittered and hummed. So they beat him down to nothing but sparks but each little spark had a shine and a song. So they covered each one over with mud. And the lonesomeness in the sparks make them hunt for one another.”
~ Zora Neale Hurston, Their Eyes Were Watching God

  1. Nazeefa,

This was the first piece I read of yours and I can honestly say I have never been left breathless by a piece of writing until this one. You embody power and strength most people take years to master. You have an authority in your voice while you write that makes the reader really listen. I loved this piece in particular and am about to read almost your entire blog right now!

I wish I had something for improvement but, I don’t! In every way, from the execution to the actual writing I felt a reader-writer connection. You even included your inspiration which helped me understand the writing and you even more. Thank you for being such an amazing writer.

I hope you continue writing and I wish I had the opportunity to fall in love with your writing earlier! You are amazing!

    From,
    Alyna

    1. Dear Alyna,
Thank you so much! I really appreciate your kind words because they have much meaning when they come from you. Writing has been something that I have only begun to understand recently, and I am that you appreciate my novice mind.
I look forward to your comments!
      Nazeefa
